According to the charity Young Minds, bullying affects over one million young people every year in the UK. It can happen to anyone and although most bullying happens at school, it can follow pupils anywhere where they take their mobiles, or when they turn on their computers and games consoles at home. Schools have a duty of care to their students that extends beyond the school gates and this course suggests ways to adopt a whole school approach to bullying - both in and outside of school.
Bullies often target people who have a characteristic they perceive to be 'different' or has an insecurity they can exploit.
