Why should I complete a short course?
There are lots of reasons a short course might benefit you, these include:
Some courses allow you to achieve new skills that are compulsory for your job role, such as ‘Food Safety’.
What should I do if I can’t access my course?
Any course you purchase or use a valid access code for should automatically appear on the Home tab of your account, under the ‘Your Courses’ section. If you can’t see a course you have purchased here, then please email email@example.com with:

Who writes Laser Learning short courses?
Our short courses are written by a subject specialist with occupational competence in the subject area. This means our education short courses are written by early years practitioners and educators, our care courses are written by care home managers and other health and social care professionals, and our business courses are written by business professionals with a working specialism in the subject.
The course content is then carefully edited, reviewed, and fact checked by our content team to ensure it meets our standards.
Find out about some of our professional writers on our Who We Are page. Please note, this is not a comprehensive list of all of our writers.
Do I have to complete an assessment?
There is a multiple choice quiz at the end of each course. There is no limit on how many times you can take the quiz. You need to successfully complete the course in order to access your certificate.
What does it mean if a course is ‘endorsed’?
Education and Business:
Our short courses have been reviewed by a Subject Specialist and endorsed by NCFE CACHE, demonstrating the quality and rigor of the content. Laser Short Courses are reviewed annually to ensure high standards are being maintained. NCFE CACHE is an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England (Ofqual), Wales (Qualification Wales), and Northern Ireland (CCEA Regulation). These courses are unregulated and are not a nationally recognised qualification.
Skills for Care endorsement is the bespoke quality mark that is given to the best learning and development providers within the adult social care sector. Training has been approved as making a significant difference, not only to the learner but also to the person accessing care and support.
